I have always liked dm drogerie markt‘s brand Balea. It’s affordable (actually quite cheap) and also cruelty-free (that always makes me happy:)). And mostly quite good. Just like with any cosmetic brand with low prices, there are great stuff and there are not so great stuff. At least that is my opinion and I noticed this with almost every brand that makes me say: This is so cheap, I better take two! For example, I love eyeliners, nail polishes and lip liners by Essence Cosmetics, foundations, primers, powders and eyebrow shades by Catrice Cosmetics … and I have learned what fits me through years of trying out different make up. I was immediately attracted to Balea because of – PRICES! 😀
Putting on eyeliner always reminds me of memes like this one. Seems as making a pretty line above your eye with an eyeliner is rocket science. I had so many problems when I started – should the line be defined, or should I blur it out, should it be thick or thin, should the tail be long or short? But honestly, we are finding problems where there are none. You have to get used to everything, and just like with figuring out how to draw your eyebrows, contour your face or even put on mascara without ruining your eye shadow, it takes some practice. You have to find out which shapes fit your eyes and face, which brush is the right for you, even what colour is the one for you. I found my perfect eyeliner at the stand with Essence cosmetics.
One of my biggest beauty sins is that I don’t use facial masks regularly. I’m a lazy ass. More or less, I have a stable morning and night beauty routine: I always use day and night creme, always remove my makeup with cleansing milk, use a serum, an eye-cream … and so on. But I often forget about the mask. I always want to use it before I wash my hair but after a busy day, I remember my plans when I am already out of the bath. Since I want to be kinder to my skin, I decided to try out some facial masks and make it a habit. First, here is a purifying mask by Lavera – a brand that sells natural cosmetics, it doesn’t test on animals and offers vegan cosmetics. I actually started of pretty good:) Why?
Pink hasn’t been on the list of my favourite colours since I was 12, but this year, pink kind of grew on me.Maybe it sneaked into my life through some beauty products I loved and soon there was more and more pink on my shelves. And which are the three pink products I would like to tell you about?
Mysterious, bold and elusive Arlésienne represents free and self-confident woman from the south of France.
As you maybe saw on my Instagram story, I was at the second conference of Slovenian beauty bloggers – Beautiful Bloggers Meetup. I will tell you more about it later, but first, I would like to tell you something about the new L’Occitane line – Arlésienne. Thanks to L’Occitane (:)) we got the chance to try out new products before they are available in the stores. Yay! 😀
I know I have been away lately, but I got some great news I would love to share with you – I got a job at the City Museum! So I had to dedicate the last few weeks to learning a billion new stuff about history and communication, and now, I am preparing for the exam I have to take to start guiding groups around the museum. But I just have to take some breaks to write something here, right?:)
This week I am spending last summer days at the seaside, so I’m a bit late with this post, but better late than never. This time I will talk about make up from Oriflame I’ve tried out this summer and will definitely use it through the next few months. The One is the newest collection by cosmetics brand Oriflame with absolutely gorgeous packaging. Yes, that is what I notice first:)
From time to time some amazing opportunities for bloggers pop up and that is exactly what happened this summer when Grazia, in collaboration with Frey Wille, invited bloggers to create a look with their gorgeous jewellery. I have admired Frey Wille jewellery since I first saw it – it stands out with their detailed design, it is timeless and it is one of those statement pieces my jewellery drawer is waiting for.
I wanted to share with you one of my favourite outfits of summer 2016. This dress is just the right combination of simple and colourful, with just the right portion of playful and classy. It’s one of those dresses you can wear for a brunch with the girls, a date in the evening or a night of partying. Because of the bold prints you don’t have much work with the accessories. A ring in matching colours was just enough. And these ballerinas by Zaxy are one of the comfiest things I have in my closet:)
I’m one of those girls who would rather spend more money on bras and lingerie than a classic pair of jeans. Beautiful lingerie can make you feel great about yourself and gives you confidence. Sometimes it’s a shame to cover it up and summer temperatures offer the perfect opportunity to show what we are hiding in our underwear drawer. Since summer is filled with festivals I prepared an outfit I would definitely take with me. You only need 5 pieces of clothing to create three looks that will get you in the summer festival mood – two lace bralettes, a silk slip, a long skirt and a jacket. Of course, there are also accessories: flowers, bracelets, rings, flip flops… Life is better in flip flops, right?
