Heart shaped cup

Valentine’s Day is generally the holiday of lovers. But it’s also a day on which you can eat as many chocolate hearts as you want. And get heart shaped sweets and chocolates.

I’m not going to complain how commercialized this holiday is or if it makes single people feel bad about themselves. I see nothing wrong with getting a gift from your loved ones, but I’m not talking about diamond earrings or designer bag. Flowers, chocolate, a glass of wine… That’s what does the trick! A small attention and some time spent together makes the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. And I don’t think it’s only meant for lovers, all people should celebrate it. What’s wrong with buying a gift for a beloved friend or a family member? You care about them and you love them, just not in the romantic way :). I don’t think we should neglect other forms of love, they are all equally important.

Here are some ideas I dug out for a lovely Valentine’s Day gift. As you all know, I always think that the best gift is made by the gift giver :). Sorry to all the stores, which were full of heart shaped stuff in January!

    1. Thank you! These donuts looked so good I had to include them. In Slovenia, Valentine’s Day is on the same day as the carnival Saturday (interesting holiday and a bit hard to translate :D) this year and donuts are the traditional food of this holiday! πŸ™‚
